Pacifica California Star Jasmine Perfume ǀ Review

Yet again, this is another review that was due about ten months ago. This is the Pacifica California Star Jasmine Perfume Roll-on. First of all I feel that I need to comment on the beautiful packaging which was what initially grabbed my attention. I love the general colour scheme combined with the funky patterns. I just feel like the branding of the product as a whole, really works. Once I had gotten past all of that, the side of the box told me that it is one hundred percent vegan and cruelty free, which I generally try to look out for when selecting cosmetics. This was an excellent start.

The smell of this (also according to the side of the box) is Star Jasmine, Orange and faint Driftwood notes. Despite the fact that this is on my wrists as I'm typing this, I can easily visualise this scent on the beach. It just has that calm and refreshing edge to it. The fragrance is sweet but not synthetic smelling and it has quite a natural aura. I would particularly recommend it for the sunnier seasons.

JÁSӦN Brightening Apricot Scrubble ǀ Review

I feel really guilty because I was expected to review this a long time ago but entirely forgot... oops. Anyway this is an exfoliator which is vital in my own skin care routine. I'm sure everyone knows what exfoliator is but for those of you who don't, it basically consists of little sand-like grains that gently rub away dead skin cells on the surface of your face/body. It leaves only the smooth skin underneath so that when this process is complete, your skin looks radiant.

This particular scrub has been a favourite of mine for a while. I like it especially because it is made of entirely natural ingredients, an added bonus for myself. It feels so nice to apply. The packaging says it is supposed to "polish away impurities, oil and makeup for a clean, comfortable feel" and I find it does just that! If you are looking for a new product to try, this is something I'd recommend any day.

Afternoon Tea at Flemings Mayfair

I love coming here. The atmosphere is lovely and everyone is so polite and welcoming. I have only been to this hotel once before this and both visits have been equally as pleasant. On Boxing Day my family and I went up to London and had afternoon tea (well doesn't that sound posh?). Imagine it now. All of us sitting with perfect posture offering tea and jam in that polite and civilised manner, in a very beautiful and quiet surrounding. Then my sister, Pia, drops what sounded like a brick and may actually have been a scone, off one of the cake stands where it crashes into the table before tumbling to the floor, leaving a little mushroom cloud of icing sugar to mark the crime scene. From the noise it made I am surprised there wasn't a dent in the table (or an earthquake for that matter). It was the funniet thing.

I think the photos can describe that environment far more effectively than I could. It really was a nice few hours, despite the minor scone throwing incident, and I would love to go back.

Christmas Beauty Products

Every time my friend comes over she always she always seems to have a nosy at my dressing table to check up on the makeup and products I am using.  The evening always results in me and her having a lengthy discussion on the pros and cons of most of the various moisturisers and exfoliators etc. that I use daily. I thought that this may benefit not just my friend, but many people that are looking to add a little extra to their beauty routine. So these are my Christmas Beauty Products - all of the things that I've collected over the Christmas period!

I don't really want to do full scale reviews on each and every one of these things for fear of beng boring, as several items have been included. Instead, I will give them my rating out of five stars and a little sentence or two to justify that. I only included my favourite things so don't think I am over rating anything, they all scored quite highly. Enjoy!

Archipelago, Grapefruit Lip Butter

★★★
The packaging and the product are both nice and pretty. It works effectively and is very cute. It missed out on two stars because I could definitely say I have tried out more moisturising lip balms in the past that seem to have a longer term affect than this one.

Tabitha James Kraan, Hair Perfume

★★★★
It has a really good scent to it and is very, very easy to apply.

Yves Saint Laurent, Touch Éclat
Radiant Touch

 ★★★★★
This is my most loved makeup product right now. It is really natural looking once applied and it works well as both a highlighter and a concealer without being cakey.

hj Manicure, Subzero

★★★★
It is a really nice product that it doesn't tend to chip for a long while. Plus, this grey colour goes with almost anything.

Organic Vanilla and Pomegranate Lip Balm

 ★★★★
Although the tub isn't that exciting, the lip balm smells really good and does the trick. It is a small size and easy to carry in your handbag.

Lush, Each Peach (and Two's a Pear) Massage Balm

★★★★★
Finally, this is something I keep replacing once it runs out because I love the smell so much. I use it as if it were a sort of rub on body butter or moisturiser. I like how it is in this form because it isn't freezing cold to apply when you get out of the bath.
